Spoiled Parrot

One part nostalgia, two parts rainbow, and a dash of Wes Anderson, the branding for this confectionery emporium tells a story of freedom, sweetness, and of course– indulgence.

Located inside Seaport’s Tin Building, and named after a stanza in the Rumi poem “Bridge to the Soul”, we find our “Spoiled Parrot” implied by an icon of an empty, open bird cage, meanwhile the missing bird takes on the form of abstract feather-like shapes. The Art Deco-esque arches of the colorful feathers unify the packaging while recalling the architecture and interior design of the space. The custom-drawn logotype and accompanying typography further nod to this era in time, carefully balancing a sense of sophistication and whim.
